About the Author
Mel Brown is a professional speaker, author, and artist, complementing her cultural competency workshops from her Masters in Indigenous Healing and Trauma from the Southern Cross University in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia.
Brown works with families and organizations to ensure Aboriginal children, who are unable to live at home, are not excluded from cultural connection to their families.
Recognized for her work in service provisions for Aboriginal families, she was awarded the ACT Public Service Award for the "Most Improved Services to Aboriginal Children and Families in the ACT", by the ACT Chief Minister.
