About the Author
Nancy lives with her husband, Skip, in Mebane, North Carolina. She and Skip have six adult children, fourteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Nancy enjoys writing childrens books, watercolor painting, playing golf, creating jewelry, reading mystery and historical novels, and traveling with Skip. She also has a passion for genealogy. Nancy has traced her ancestors back thirteen generations to the late 1600s, when they lived in Virginia. She has Revolutionary War and Civil War ancestors, and is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Nancy has enjoyed a rich and diverse career she has been a schoolboard chairman, an art teacher for children, a church deacon, and Sunday school director. She is also an avid writer. She has written an autobiography, entitled A Peek Into My Life, which she dedicated to her family members, but has a special fondness for childrens literature. Nancys first childrens book, My Nana Was A Free-Range Kid, was published in 2018, and is available for purchase through major retailers like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Remembering Joseph Chickadee is her second childrens book, which she also illustrated. Nancy is in the process of writing and illustrating several other childrens books, including A Daddys Love, Nana Was A Kid Once, and an art instruction book on trees.
