Twelve-year-old Izzy is hardly thrilled when she must spend the summer in New Mexico with her unfamiliar grandmother, but in her Nana's kitchen, Izzy finds herself surrounded by a more vibrant world than she's ever known; for the first time she hears stories about her father, who died before she was born, and becomes determined to unlock the truth surrounding his death.
